Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
The Bonus
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
